TKD PRESIDENT EXPELLED OVER ALLEGATIONS HE MISMANAGED FUNDS
THE Zambian Taekwondo Federation has expelled its president over allegations of mismanaging its funds. Chenda Chilufya was expelled during a meeting of the association's annual general meeting held in Lusaka. The allegations concern the selling of TKD uniforms which had been donated by the International Olympic Solidarity Support group. The uniforms were sent to the Federation to help develop the sport in the country. The
Federation had handed over evidence to the police. ***************** A MARTIAL arts instructor has donated $7500 (£4800) to police to buy tasers. The cash was handed over to police in Green Bay, Wisconsin by instructor Ed Mannings. He said he decided to donate the cash after finding ouyt the force did not have enough tasers for every officer. Thanks to his donation there are 48 tasers in the department. The department had discharged taser 56 times over the last 12 months. The money was raised within weeks with the help of students and relatives. He told his local newspaper: "I was really amazed to find out there wasn’t a Taser for every single patrol officer. To have to be forced to choose between which officers are going to have to have it, that’s not a very easy choice to make."
